We met while working as part of the permanent ensemble at the Junges Staatstheater Karlsruhe, where we had already collaborated on several productions together. This led to us exploring the idea of continuing our work together and developing our own independent projects. In the period between 2020/21, the monologue for “Peter Pan” was created — directed by Janina and performed by Laura, who continues to perform it to this day. The piece is now an official analyse schmitt kollektiv mobile production and is available for touring. In June 2025, we made our directing debut as a duo with “Mädchenschrift” by Özlem Özgül Dündar at the Junges Staatstheater Karlsruhe. Our new production Orlando by Virginia Woolf celebrated its premiere in Karlsruhe in November 2025.

The
Collective
Our work is always rooted from a feminist perspective. We are committed to telling stories from diverse viewpoints, breaking down stereotypes, and challenging familiar ways of seeing and thinking. We believe that a truly inclusive society, one that brings people in rather than leaving them out, is the only way to unlock collective potential. For us, art plays a crucial role in this. It sparks social discourse on a nonverbal level, touches us emotionally, and invites reflection on what we experience together. Through a variety of formats, we aim to entertain our audience, spark curiosity, and encourage open exchange and dialogue.
